POWCOMA designs high-reliability power electronics hardware for the most demanding environments: space, defense, and safety-critical embedded systems. We work with satellite integrators and space agencies to develop customized systems that meet complex requirements for constrained environments. Our work covers system performance optimization, design justification, and comprehensive testing and validation. We are able to design, assemble, and test complete systems at our facilities located in Marseille and Paris (France).
From concept to qualification, we support your hardware projects in the most demanding sectors with deep expertise in power electronics. Our expertise in digital modeling of physical phenomena (electrical, magnetic, thermal) combined with optimization tools enables us to offer high-performance, compact solutions. Accurate predictions combined with advanced characterization will save you time during the qualification phase. The documentation associated with all these phases is at the heart of our expertise. We rely on the latest space standards to justify all project stage.

Two dedicated power conversion chains engineered for space and defense environments — each optimized for specific power ranges, form factors, and bus architectures.
A 200–600W power chain designed for demanding applications requiring multiple regulated outputs. The architecture combines an FSBB pre-regulator stage and an LLC resonant converter for high efficiency across a wide 21–37V input range, delivering three independent output rails.
A highly compact and efficient power chain for 21–37V input buses. The LLC converter operates as a fixed-ratio DC/DC transformer — no active regulation in the main stage — which dramatically reduces component count and switching losses. Output regulation is handled by Point-of-Load (POL) converters, enabling distributed power architectures with maximum flexibility and efficiency.
A 20–100W power chain engineered for maximum bus compatibility. With a 21–120V input range, this architecture is compatible with all existing satellite power buses — from 28V LEO platforms to 100V GEO buses — without hardware modification. A galvanically isolated Flyback converter followed by a high-current VRM delivers a stable 1V/50A output for processor and FPGA cores.
